Jeff has a particular skill in harmonizing and blending, has excellent control over volume and dynamics, and mimics many artists. A solid heads-up, team player that respects and supports other players and creates great stage performances. Content in the back line, or owning the spotlight, Miles plays for the song and overall strength of the ensemble, with strong groove/pocket rhythms, smooth vocals, versatile playing technique and confidence in the material. Pick-Up Artist: A quick study - learns, and convincingly performs, large volumes of repertoire in a matter of days. To wit; 44 songs in 3 days, live gigs with no rehearsals, live gigs with no advanced notice.
Primarily a string player, yet drums and percussion performance have evolved out of necessity, typically when a drummer cannot make a gig. Always a team player, Jeff steps in to cover the void. This situation has occurred in such high frequency, that he is equipped for any gig, requiring drums or stringed instruments.

Legit: Jeff has been signed with ISC (1978) w/Robin Chase Band, and Young American (1995) recording labels (w/ MRC) and has played legendary* venues such as; The Kennedy Center - Washington D.C., Gillette Stadium - Foxborough, MA, Ryles Jazz Club - Cambridge, MA, The Beehive - Boston, The Tropicana - Orlando, FL, Acton Jazz Cafe (in the top 10 Best Jazz Clubs in the USA), The Rat Cambridge and the Hard Rock Cafe' - Boston
(* in 1996 MRC was booked at CBGB's NYC and Lollapalooza '96 - but both were cancelled due to terminal personnel changes - the band dissolved after this event)
